Authentic Greek Salad — The Way They Make It in Greece

In Greece, the salad is simply drizzled with olive oil — no vinegar, herbs only dried oregano, and feta sits on top as a whole block. This is the version that tastes like a Greek island.

Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber, 1 green pepper, 1 red onion
  • 200g Kalamata olives
  • 200g Greek feta block
  • Dried oregano, Greek olive oil, sea salt

Method

Arrange vegetables on a platter. Scatter olives. Place whole feta block on top — do not crumble. Drizzle generously with olive oil, sprinkle oregano and salt. Serve with crusty bread.
